Coronavirus Protocols

All children will be screened via a no touch thermometer  prior to entering classes to help insure no child with a fever is in contact with healthy students.  As this sophisticated level of temperature reading is non-invasive and can be preformed quickly, additional scans will be taken throughout the day at scheduled intervals and times such as potty breaks, lunch line and snack time.  Any child that shows a temperature outside of the range will be separated and have the parents called for immediate pick up. 

Teachers and students will remove their shoes in the front lobby and store them in their cubbies to limit outside germs are brought in and spread on the floor through the hallways, classrooms, cafeteria and other common areas.

To aid in the fight against the spread of this virus we have initiated an aggressive handwashing policy.  Students and staff are encouraged to wash their hands continually through the day. Routine scheduled times will coincide with potty breaks, breakfast, lunchtime, snacktime, after recess.  Hand sanitizer sterile wipes and old-fashioned soap and water are some of the weapons in our in the fight. 

We have upscaled our cleaning regiment to include sanitization of all common surfaces, play apparatuses, toys and learning materials . The sanitization will be administered continually daily throughout our school week to ensure student safety.

The center will not be excepting backpacks, toys, food items of any kind or any other personal items that are beyond Alpha Tots sanitation controls to enter the building. Students will still be allowed to bring one clean blanket and sheet for naptime that need to be changed out every Friday

As we determine a child health falls beyond the parameters of state requirements, we will separate the child and contact the parents for immediate pick up. we greatly appreciate your fast response time in picking up your child.
